Local Lib Dems have promised for decades that they would “protect our green fields” and “preserve the green gaps” between Hedge End and neighbouring villages.

What have we seen in reality? 

Rampant development all over our green fields. 

Under the Lib Dems, Eastleigh Borough Council has become one of the largest housing developers in the area.

Hedge End Lib Dems even sided with the development lobby over Conservative plans to scrap rules to protect rivers and waterways. 

Fortunately, Labour Party and Green peers defeated the proposals in the House of Lords. 

Labour shows it is possible to build the houses we need without further harming the environment.
